Don't think the face is disturbing. The picture itself is more or less focusing on the environment and not on the character, otherwise the character wouldn't be on the side. It actually didn't remind me of the Last of Us, but more towards the Division
Hey Davey ! yeah the character is more about the scale and setting the mood for this piece, it Isn't a important part of the piece, just something to enhance it. Haha, Division nice, yeah maybe I should have added some worn out blood stains to give it a more infection outbreak feel, but thats something for the next piece .
I like how there´s a staircase as an obvious way to get into the quarantined area. That would work pretty well in a concept art piece for a game ^^ maybe another possible way to get in could have been interesting. The opened cartrunk is another good example of this piece being good as potential concept art for a game, because you get the feeling something could be in there. Good job ^^
Glad you like it, I forgot to put it in the discription, but thats exactly what I was going for, using Saturated colors to define a path for the player to navigate through. I'm glad its clear for people to see A second passage would be interesting, but I think it would be too distracting in this piece, maybe in the next one .
I like it...only tip I can think of is if you had the time to do a before and after piece, that way you can show two beauties (in a way) also kind of shows your skills to do both a dark and light piece
